Signed: Clemie Alma Overstreet, Apr 22, 1899, Old Homestead, Miss on a corner block. Although the date 1899 is on the quilt, it may have been made later as the fabrics are typical of the 1920s and could be the artist's birthdate. There is an abundance of embroidered embellishments such as a spiderweb, cat, owl, butterfly, bunch of grapes and 3-dimensional items, i.e., ribbon, leaf, medallion, etc.
