Antique White Heart Trade Beads
|
These rare and wonderful beads were made for tribal trade in Venice, circa 1900. Like the original red-colored White Heart beads, these beads have a wound core of white glass. Their vibrant turquoise color was highly prized by the indigenous peoples of the Americas, Africa and along the old Silk Route. Strands measure 20" inches of beads, excluding the back of river rushes that they are strung on. Quantities are limited.

The Celtic 'fairy ring' comes attached to the sterling toggle clasp as a charm. 6mm malachite beads alternate with the Celtic knot silver plate beads from Wales to make a whimsical bracelet. Asian Earth Treasures Necklace Kit
|
A generous gathering of the best of Asia's artifacts: antique Chinese coins, hand-carved bone and wood, hand-painted porcelain, and enamel mix it up with red jasper, lapis, copal, Czech glass and shell to create a 'treasure necklace.' Kit makes up to a three-strand necklace, approximately 34-36" per strand. Kit includes the hand-made bronze clasp, end beads, stringing material and instructions. Instructions include an illustration of each strand, how to attach the double-drilled antique coins, and how to attach to clasp.
Copal centerpiece beads are one of a kind and will vary in size and color.

Vintage Venetian Glass Trade Beads

$12 per strand. Thirty-four inch strands of "Christmas Beads," so called because the African tribesmen thought they were as bright and colorful as decorated Christmas trees. The variety of beads date from the turn of the century to the 1950's and vary in size from 3 to 6 mm.
