The centerpiece is a Venetian glass 'Millifiori' trade bead, circa 1850, in mint condition with no chips or cracks, accented with 8mm and 6mm Sterling Silver beads made in Arizona, and two 6mm round horn beads. The body of the necklace is Baltic Amber nuggets. Amber is a fossil tree resin that has become stabile through loss of volatile constituents and chemical changes after lengthy burial in the ground. Amber has been found throughout the world. The largest and most significant deposits are along the shores of the Baltic Sea in sands that date back to 40,000,000 to 60,000,000 years old.
It finishes to 19" with a Sterling Silver clasp, crimps, end beads, stringing material and instructions.
Price is for one kit.
