Sleeping Beauty Turquoise Necklace, 19" Long

This gem quality, vibrantly colored Turquoise is from the Sleeping Beauty Mined near Globe, Arizona, that closed in 2012, leaving the Southwest Indian community in shock and sadness. Sleeping Beauty was the longtime favorite Turquoise of the Zuni Indians for their needlepoint designs. The Turquoise in this necklace is natural color with no stabilization. The beads graduate from 18mm in the front to 10mm in the back. It is finished on each side with three hand-made Navajo Indian sterling silver beads and a sterling silver clasp. Comes with a monograph on the history of Turquoise and current market conditions.
