Description

Made in Arizona, this bat measures 3" wide and 1-1/2" long and is available in silver or rust hues. Raku is a style of pottery developed in Japan, circa 1550 AD. It's intimately connected to the Tea Ceremony and always hand-built. No potter’s wheel is used. The primary feature of this pottery is that, after firing while it is still hot, the piece is put in a container filled with pine needles that causes combustion, resulting in the unique Raku glaze. American artists went on to develop their own style of Raku, making beads and pendants, creating a new chapter of the story of this ancient art... including adding a belly button to Raku Bats!

Price is for one pendant.
