Amazonite is a variety of Alkali Feldspar mineral. Found in Peru, the color of these beads is a strong and brilliant turquoise, the very best color available. It has been used for over 4000 years in Mesopotamia, India, and Egypt. An Amazonite scarab ring was found in the burial chamber of King Tutankhamen.
