The Squashblossom is a significant Navajo symbol. First seen on the saddle trappings of the Spanish Conquistadores as they rode up from Mexico on their magnificent horses, this iconic image was incorporated into the Squashblossom necklace, a legendary Navajo creation known all over the world.

This Sterling Silver pendant is handmade on the reservation in New Mexico, 1-1/8" long and the top bead is 8mm. Shown on a 16" braided leather cord with Sterling Silver findings, it makes a meaningful statement about the indigenous culture of the Southwest.
